His Grace is Sufficient

I wanted to reach out to everyone and share something that has been on my heart this week. A few people that have read the book have offered sympathy to me for what I went through. It is lovely, but I must let you know that it is not needed. Many have asked how hard it must have been to write the book and relive the events. My answer has remained, “It was not hard at all.” Although it is truthful that it was not hard, I never knew until this week how to explain it.

Two weeks ago I was studying God’s Word when I came across 2 Corinthians 12:9, which states, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” Now I am very familiar with this Scripture and studied it in great detail in the book. However, two weeks ago, when I looked up grace in the Strong’s Concordance which read, “graciousness of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in life; including gratitude)”, it was as though one million lights illuminated at once.

I finally understood why it was easy to write the book and why it is so easy to talk about my life, the good and the bad. See, it was by the grace that God freely gave me, and His influence on my heart, which allows me to reflect on my life and be grateful for it all. I am thankful for every hurt, painful word, and abuse. Why? I am grateful because without it I could not stand here today and share openly with you.

My hope is to reach all of you that still struggle with past hurts and you who still battle thoughts raging in your mind constantly reminding you, “You are not worth it.” I am here today to tell you that you are worth it. The freedom I found in the love of God is not an 8, 10, or 12 step process. You can’t just apply a few principles and say, “OK I am better.” My hope is not for you to have a better day, week, or month, but a changed life. I layout Biblical principles, which if followed, will set you free for life.

We all want a quick fix, and I am sorry to say I can’t offer you that. A quick fix will give you temporary results. Do you remember the saying, “The more you work for something, the more you will appreciate it,” ? I am not sure who said this, but it is applicable here. The reward, my friend, for a little hard work, is a free mind. It is hurt no longer having the ability to grip you. After walking out this plan, you will wake up one day and realize things that use to hurt you no longer evoke a feeling of hurt or despair. The lonely and desolate place in your mind and heart are gone. This is what I had to go through. I share my battles and victories.

I am not promoting religion. I am not promoting a certain denomination. I am promoting a personal relationship with Jesus which is open to everyone that wants it. Complete freedom is what I offer. But don’t stop there. There is also total restoration. It is not my words in this book which will offer this to you but the Scriptures which are in the book. You too can get to a place where you look at your past square in the face and say, “You no longer have a hold of me.” You will never be alone again. You don’t have to fight alone.

If you ever need someone to pray for you, please feel free to message me. We are in this together. I pray that your life will be transformed by the renewing of your mind. I pray that every chain will be broken in your life.

God, I thank You for doing this work in me. I didn’t do it. Thank You for Your grace, Your love, and Your guidance. Holy Spirit, teach me the words to share with others and help them find freedom in Jesus. I pray that You will lead them to freedom. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

I would truly enjoy hearing from you.
