Rough Around the Edges

Rough Edges

I was feeling a little rough around the edges this morning.  I am learning how to do a website as well as how to blog.  Ugh.  I have no clue what I am doing but I know how to trust God.  That is all I need to know.  This morning; however, I was particularly tired and needed a lot of coffee.  I got out of bed feeling rough around the edges so I thought this picture of our dog, Mattie, was appropriate.

On one hand, this picture reveals a blanket that is rough around the edges, tattered and torn.  On another hand, it can bring a smile to your face.  It did to Mattie and all of us.  I decided, like Mattie, to take my rough edges this morning and make something with them.  Scripture states in Proverbs 27:17 NIV “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

This is what I pray for you and this blog.  I will share openly and honestly about my life.  I wish this blog to be a conversation so I ask that you comment or if you want to be private, go to Facebook page and send me a PM.  The Scripture tells us that we can sharpen each other.  I hope that the words I share can encourage you and invite you to share as well.

Let’s take this journey called life together.  I will also be sharing prayers that I pray as well as Scriptures I have learned and Scriptures I am still learning.

Sit down, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and let’s talk.  Your turn.

My prayer this morning – Good morning my King.  Today is a busy day.  I ask You to provide Your wisdom to me on how to build a website and how to blog.  I love You Lord and thank You for my family.  Holy Spirit surround me today and lead me on God’s path. I ask that you will speak to my heart and all that read this post. I pray that you will renew their strength in you.  I love you Lord and pray that everyone that reads these words will receive a touch from you.

I too felt a little like going back to bed and throwing the covers over my head this morning . I had a dental appointment that I almost cancelled. Fear thoughts kept trying to cancel out the faith throughts that I was trying to put in. I just need to learn to trust God more than I do.
The dental appointment went better then I thought. I should have known God would show up and answer my prayers for peace.
Why do I doubt Him so when I know He is more than able and so very faithful.
I know God will give you the wisdom and knowledge you need to do what He’s called you to do.
Thanks for setting up this blog; it’s good to know I’m not the only one who sometimes wakes up feeling a little tough around the edges!

This is such an encouragement. Thank you for posting this. Everyone needs to be reminded sometimes of Gods grace and how we need to trust in Him throughout the day.

I would truly enjoy hearing from you.
